The burial arrangements for the late gospel artist Toluwanisings have sparked a heated dispute, with his family vehemently opposing any plans for a cemetery interment. A family spokesperson has publicly declared that if the singer is buried in a public cemetery, they will take drastic measures to have his remains exhumed and relocated to the family home.

In a viral video, the family representative made it clear that they have collectively decided against a cemetery burial. "We have all decided in the family that Toluwanisings must not be buried in the cemetery," the spokesperson stated. He issued a stern warning to the late artist's widow, Elizabeth, and her supporters, emphasizing that if they proceed with a cemetery burial, the family will not hesitate to open the grave and transport his remains back to the family compound.

The controversy surrounding Toluwanisings' final resting place has its roots in a longstanding disagreement between the family and his widow. The artist, who passed away on October 14, 2026, had initially been intended to be buried at the house he built in Ibadan. However, Elizabeth has reportedly expressed her objections to this plan, citing emotional distress associated with living on the property where her husband would be buried.

In light of this conflict, the family has proposed a compromise: if a home burial is not feasible, they insist that Toluwanisings' body should be returned to the family compound to be laid to rest next to his late mother. The spokesperson reiterated the family's unwavering stance, stating, "If you say you can't bury him in his house that he built, we don't know your reasons and we don't even care to know, just bring him home. He has a father's compound; we will bury him beside his mother's grave."

As the situation unfolds, the family remains resolute in their demand for a burial that honors their wishes, while the widow grapples with the emotional implications of the decisions at hand. The public's attention continues to grow as this family drama plays out, raising questions about the complexities of grief and the importance of respecting the wishes of loved ones in such sensitive matters.
