A Nigerian woman, Chinaza Uzo, has said that it's a sin for women to wear earrings, claiming that they are abomination of Jezebel. She argued that if God wanted women to wear earrings, he would have punctured their ears at birth. According to her, gold and earring have no business on the body of any woman who claims she is "waiting for Heaven."

"IF GOD WANTED WOMEN TO WEAR EARRINGS, HE WOULD HAVE PUNCTURED THEIR EARS FROM BIRTH! IT'S A SIN FOR A WOMAN TO WEAR EARRINGS," she wrote. "You say you are a Christian but you look exactly like Jezebel! What is gold and earring doing on the body of a woman who claims she is waiting for Heaven? "It is a SIN! It is an ABOMINATION! You are telling God that His creation is not perfect, so you must add your own decoration! "You women who claim to be Christians yet you pierce God's creation, LISTEN! "1 TIMOTHY 2:9-10 That women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array. "God Himself is telling you NOT to use gold, pearls and costly ornaments. Earrings are gold and costly array! If you wear them, you are directly disobeying this command. You have no shamefacedness! "1 PETER 3:3-4 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart "God says your beauty should NOT be outside with gold and earrings, but inside with a meek and quiet spirit. When you wear earrings, you are proving that your heart is empty and worldly! You care more about outward beauty than inward holiness! "ISAIAH 3:16-24. In this chapter, God judged the daughters of Zion because they were proud, walking with stretched necks, wearing earrings, bracelets, nose jewels and ornaments. Because of this, God said He will take away all their ornaments and make them bald and stink! The same judgement awaits you earring-wearing women today. "LEVITICUS 19:28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh, nor print any marks upon you. "Piercing your ears is cutting and wounding the perfect flesh God gave you! God created you without holes. You are the one who is now puncturing and cutting what God made. This is rebellion against the Creator! "REPENT! Take off that abomination of Jezebel before the wrath of God falls on you!"
