Raja Jackson, the 25-year-old son of UFC icon Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, has begun serving a 90-day jail sentence following a violent incident that occurred during a wrestling event in August 2025. The assault, which was livestreamed, involved Jackson attacking professional wrestler Stuart "Syko Stu" Smith, leaving him unconscious and seriously injured.

The incident took place on August 23, 2025, at the KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy in Los Angeles. Raja, who had a prior altercation with Smith earlier that day, stormed the ring during a live show and delivered a brutal attack. Witnesses reported that he slammed Smith to the mat and continued to strike him multiple times, even after Smith appeared to be unconscious. The shocking act was broadcast on the streaming platform Kick, which has since banned Jackson for his actions.

Following the incident, Smith was hospitalized for several days, suffering from severe head injuries, trauma to his jaws, and the loss of several teeth. He later revealed that he had sustained a traumatic brain injury and required extensive medical treatment, which ultimately led to his retirement from professional wrestling.

Jackson was arrested on September 18, 2025, and charged with felony battery causing serious bodily injury. In May 2026, he pleaded no contest to the charges, resulting in his current jail sentence that began on July 2, 2026. In addition to his jail time, he was ordered to pay $81,703.38 in restitution to Smith and will serve two years on probation following his release.

It was bad judgment, and a work that went wrong. Raja is an MMA fighter, not a pro wrestler, and had no business involved in an event like this. I don't condone my son's actions AT ALL!"

The fallout from the incident has been significant, with a GoFundMe campaign launched for Syko Stu's recovery raising nearly $225,000. Prominent figures, including the well-known streamer MrBeast, contributed to the fund, highlighting the support for Smith as a military veteran facing personal challenges.
