Mohammed Bindow, the former governor of Adamawa State, has officially rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) after resigning from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) earlier this month. His re-registration took place in his ward in Mubi, where he was welcomed by a large crowd of supporters and party members.

The announcement of Bindow's return was made by Ayekooto Akindele, a prominent APC figure, during a gathering that included the Mubi APC Chairman, Alhaji Ahmadu Guruja, along with thousands of well-wishers, political associates, friends, and family. Bindow expressed that his decision to return to the APC was made after extensive consultations with his political allies and confidants.

In his remarks following the registration, Bindow emphasized his commitment to party discipline and his opposition to any anti-party activities. He mentioned that he had also consulted with Vice President Kashim Shettima, who is a close political ally, before making the decision to return to the APC.

Bindow reflected on a recent meeting with President Bola Tinubu, describing the interaction as cordial and significant. He noted that the President was pleased with his return to the APC and expressed his support for all candidates representing the party in the upcoming elections.

The former governor clarified that his return to the APC was not motivated by personal ambitions or factionalism but rather aimed at strengthening the party and uniting its members in preparation for electoral challenges ahead. Bindow's move comes as the APC gears up for the 2027 elections, and he has pledged his full support to ensure the party's success at the polls.

This development follows Bindow's resignation from the ADC on August 1, 2026, marking a significant shift in his political alignment as he seeks to play a pivotal role in the APC's future endeavors.
