A striking statue of a naked Donald Trump has been unveiled at the European Parliament building in Strasbourg, France. The provocative artwork, created by Danish artist Jens Galschiøt, was displayed on October 6 and is set to remain until October 8.

The statue, titled "Orange Plague" or "King of Injustice," depicts the former U.S. President seated naked on the shoulders of a smaller man, holding a long golf club. Standing at approximately 2.5 meters tall, including its pedestal, the statue is coated with 23-karat gold, making it a visually arresting piece.

The unveiling took place at a busy intersection within the parliament's headquarters, where it is expected to attract significant attention from both visitors and lawmakers. The artist, Galschiøt, is known for his satirical works, and this piece is no exception. He has publicly criticized Trump, labeling him as one of the major obstacles to addressing climate change.

The exhibition was facilitated by Danish left-wing Member of the European Parliament, Per Clausen, who expressed his support for the artwork. Clausen commented on the importance of freedom of expression, stating, "If someone is so thin-skinned that they cannot tolerate this sculpture being exhibited in the European Parliament, then they have no place on the world stage."

Next to the statue, business cards were placed that feature a quote attributed to the "King of Injustice," which reads: "I am sitting on the back of a man. He is sinking under the burden. I would do anything to help him. Except stepping down from his back." This statement adds a layer of commentary on leadership and responsibility, reflecting Galschiøt's critical stance towards Trump’s presidency.

The exhibition has sparked discussions about art, politics, and the role of public figures in society. With its bold imagery and controversial subject, the statue serves as a reminder of the ongoing debates surrounding political leadership and accountability in the modern world.
