Wole Oluyede, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the June 20 Ekiti State election, has emphasized the importance of making the 2027 presidential election a referendum on performance and national development rather than mere sentiment. In a statement released in Ado Ekiti, Oluyede urged Nigerians to evaluate the policies and reforms implemented by President Bola Tinubu's administration to determine whether to renew his mandate.

Oluyede articulated that Nigeria must not abandon the long-term policies initiated by the Tinubu administration, asserting that significant economic and infrastructure reforms require time to fully mature and deliver their intended benefits.
