TikTok user says early exposure to social media almost shaped her into hating men

A TikTok user has shared how being exposed to social media at a young age nearly shaped her entire perception of men.

In a video, she said that although she grew up in a loving home and had a positive relationship with her father, her views began to change after she joined social media and constantly came across posts claiming that "men are scum."

According to her, she eventually adopted those beliefs despite not having any personal experience to justify them, often repeating other people's stories as if they were her own.

Reflecting on that period of her life, she said it took self-awareness and guidance for her to realize she had allowed other people's experiences to shape her opinions.

She advised young people to empathize with others and learn from their experiences without automatically making those experiences their own, adding that there are both good and bad people, regardless of gender.
