Sowore's #RevolutionNow Movement Offers N1 Million Reward for Attack Information
The #RevolutionNow Movement seeks information on the attack against Omoyele Sowore, offering a N1 million reward.

The #RevolutionNow Movement has announced a reward of N1 million for anyone who can provide credible information leading to the identification and prosecution of those responsible for the recent attack on its leader, Omoyele Sowore, in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. This initiative aims to encourage individuals to come forward, especially those with video evidence from the incident that occurred on October 30, 2026, at Tawakalitu Restaurant.
In a statement shared on Sowore's social media, the movement called on the public to send direct messages with any relevant information. The group emphasized the importance of video footage or any other evidence that could aid investigators in identifying the attackers. The attack has raised significant concerns regarding the ongoing police investigation and the recent arraignment of 11 suspects allegedly linked to the incident.
Sowore has publicly criticized the police's handling of the case, describing the arraignment as a “ruse and cover-up.” He alleges that the police action is designed to shield those who orchestrated the attack rather than bring them to justice. Furthermore, he has demanded the immediate suspension of CP Falade Adegoroye Michael, the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, accusing him of mishandling the investigation and concealing vital evidence.
The activist claims that his team has identified 12 individuals and government officials whose connections to the attack warrant further investigation. Among those named are Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, his Chief Security Officer CSP Ayodele Akinlua, and several others, including former student leaders and aides to prominent officials. Sowore insists that these individuals should be questioned to clarify their potential involvement in the incident.
Concerns have also been raised about the alleged removal of CCTV equipment from the restaurant where the attack occurred, with claims that surveillance footage has been tampered with or erased. Sowore has urged the Inspector-General of Police to establish an independent investigative panel to recover missing devices and ensure that any available CCTV recordings are subjected to forensic examination.
As the situation unfolds, Sowore has called for transparency regarding the charges against the 11 individuals already arraigned, demanding that the police disclose the evidence linking them to the attack. He maintains that anyone found culpable, regardless of their political or security status, should face prosecution.
The Ekiti State Police Command and the individuals mentioned in Sowore's allegations have yet to respond to these serious claims. The #RevolutionNow Movement remains firm in its commitment to uncovering the truth and ensuring justice for the victims of the attack, with the N1 million reward intended to incentivize cooperation from the public.
