Victim alleges kidnapping and forced fraud by young man in Lagos
A man has accused another of abuse and coercion, claiming he was forced into internet fraud.

A disturbing allegation has emerged from Lagos, where a man has accused a younger individual of maltreatment and coercion, claiming he was held captive and forced to engage in internet fraud. The victim detailed a harrowing experience that included being locked up and deprived of basic necessities.
The victim reported that he was confined in the young man's residence, where he was allegedly coerced into committing fraudulent activities online. He stated that during this period, his mobile phone, valued at ₦350,000, was confiscated, and he was given only ₦90,000 after it was sold without his consent.
In addition to the financial exploitation, the victim claimed he faced severe restrictions on his freedom, stating he was denied food and prevented from leaving the premises. He described a frightening environment where he was threatened with death if he attempted to escape without repaying an alleged debt to the young man.
The victim recounted that he was forced to take an oath, further emphasizing the coercive nature of his captivity. He eventually managed to escape from the situation, but not without enduring significant psychological and emotional trauma.
This incident has raised concerns about the increasing prevalence of such exploitative situations in urban areas, particularly involving young individuals who may be vulnerable to manipulation. The victim's allegations highlight the urgent need for law enforcement to address such cases and protect individuals from similar experiences in the future.
