A mother is seeking urgent help after her daughter went missing during a trip to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp in Abia State. The incident reportedly occurred along the Imo-Abia route, raising concerns about safety for travelers in the region.

In a video posted on TikTok, the distressed mother shared that her daughter, along with other corps members, departed from Samonda, Ibadan, at approximately 9 a.m. on Wednesday. The family had been tracking their locations throughout the journey to ensure their safety. However, around 6 a.m. on Thursday, they received a chilling message from her daughter, which included the word "kidnappers" sent to their family WhatsApp group, followed by several missed calls.

Since that alarming message, the young woman has been unreachable, although her phone continues to ring when calls are made. The mother expressed her anguish, stating, "Since 6 a.m. I haven't been able to talk to my child. Around 7 a.m. when we started using her location to trace her, she hung up. We've been trying to reach her since then."

The mother also revealed that the family received disturbing videos showing an attack on buses traveling along the Imo-Abia route. Reports indicate that the bus carrying her daughter was raided, with only one of three buses managing to escape the attack. This incident has heightened fears about the safety of travelers in the area, especially as the exact number of individuals abducted remains unconfirmed.

In her plea for help, the mother disclosed that her daughters are twins, with one posted to Abia and the other to Enugu. While the twin in Enugu has successfully reached her camp, the family remains in distress over the fate of Kehinde, who has not been heard from since the incident.

"Please, Nigerian government, please help us. I beg you in the name of God. Please help me, have mercy on me," she implored, highlighting the desperation of families affected by the rising trend of kidnappings in Nigeria.

As of now, authorities have not released an official statement regarding the reported abduction, leaving the family and the public anxious for updates on the situation. The incident underscores the ongoing security challenges in the country, particularly concerning the safety of travelers and students.

The community is rallying around the family, hoping for a swift resolution and the safe return of the missing daughter.
