Police in Lagos State have apprehended a suspect linked to a recent armed robbery at the Ghost and Spirits Lounge located on Ekoro Road, Abule Egba. The incident occurred early Saturday morning around 4 am, when a group of armed robbers targeted clubgoers, leaving victims shaken and in fear.

The arrested individual was identified through a viral video that captured the robbery. In the footage, he was seen wearing a green shirt and cap, mingling among patrons before the gang struck. The lounge management, responding to the brazen attack, had offered a N5 million bounty for information leading to the robbers' capture, which facilitated the suspect's identification and arrest.

According to police sources, the suspect is currently in custody and is being interrogated to provide information about the remaining gang members who managed to escape the scene. The police have launched an extensive manhunt to locate and apprehend these individuals.

The robbery unfolded in a dramatic fashion, as captured in the video footage. Patrons were seen casually sitting on the bonnet of a car and inside another vehicle when the gang arrived. One of the robbers, who initially posed as a customer, drew attention to the group by firing a gunshot into the air. This action prompted chaos, with the gang swiftly moving to rob the victims of their valuables before fleeing in their operational vehicle.

A police spokesperson confirmed the arrest and expressed optimism about capturing the other members of the gang. "We have one suspect in custody, and he is assisting us with useful information. We are trailing the others. The command will not rest until all the perpetrators are brought to book," the spokesperson stated.

The incident has left the residents of Abule Egba feeling vulnerable, as they have been living in fear since the robbery. The Lagos State Police Command has reassured the public that they are committed to ensuring the safety of the community and will take all necessary measures to bring the remaining suspects to justice.
