A man from Brooklyn, identified as Charles Wilson Pastore, was arrested in Florida on charges related to drug trafficking. The 46-year-old was taken into custody on September 3 in Fort Lauderdale after police discovered methamphetamine and cocaine in his vehicle.

Pastore was a passenger in a white Mercedes-Benz when law enforcement officials conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, a police K-9 unit alerted officers to the presence of narcotics within the car. A subsequent search revealed over 17 grams of methamphetamine and 3.5 grams of crack cocaine concealed inside the vehicle.

In addition to the drugs, authorities found a loaded semi-automatic handgun with a shaved serial number, a digital scale with white powder residue, and $3,515 in cash in a backpack located in the backseat of the car. The police also discovered a Florida driver's license that appeared to be counterfeit.

Investigators suspect that Pastore and the driver of the vehicle were collaborating to traffic narcotics. As a result of the incident, Pastore faces multiple charges, including meth trafficking, possession of meth and cocaine, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

After being held in custody, Pastore was able to post $37,000 bail on September 8, allowing him to secure his release from jail. The case has raised concerns about drug trafficking activities in the area, prompting local law enforcement to intensify their efforts in combating such crimes.
