2027: Renewed Hope ambassadors mobilise support for Tinubu, APC candidates in Anambra

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) in Anambra State have committed to galvanising substantial voter support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the upcoming 2027 general elections. This initiative is seen as a gesture of gratitude towards Tinubu for his administration's significant infrastructural developments in the South-East region.

Chief Okey Ezenwa, the state coordinator for the RHA, made this announcement following a joint meeting with APC National Assembly candidates in Awka, the state capital. In a communiqué released to the press, Ezenwa instructed all members of the RHA to leverage their structures across federal constituencies and senatorial zones to bolster support for APC candidates contesting the elections scheduled for January 16, 2027.

Ezenwa emphasised the importance of grassroots mobilisation, asserting that it is crucial for securing electoral victories and advancing the Renewed Hope agenda in Anambra State. He noted the RHA's intention to collaborate with other political groups and stakeholders who align with Tinubu's vision.

The RHA has been actively engaging residents to raise awareness about the achievements of Tinubu’s administration in the region. Ezenwa highlighted improvements in road infrastructure, citing that travel times have significantly decreased. For instance, a trip from Awka to Enugu, which previously took around three hours, now takes less than 45 minutes.

He stated, "The road network in the South-East is improving greatly, and you cannot ignore such a development. People are no longer spending as much time at mechanics as they used to. The people are aware of what the Tinubu administration is doing in the South-East, and this is the time to show appreciation."

In addition to infrastructure, Ezenwa pointed out the government's efforts in economic restructuring, which he described as essential for long-term growth. He acknowledged that while immediate results may not be visible, the groundwork being laid is crucial for the future.

Ezenwa also mentioned the introduction of an interest-free student loan scheme aimed at expanding access to education amid economic challenges. He reiterated that no child should be deprived of university education due to financial constraints, highlighting the government's commitment to alleviating hardships faced by citizens.

The RHA meeting saw a significant turnout of coordinators and APC candidates, reflecting a growing membership across the 326 wards in Anambra State. This increase has been attributed to a rising appreciation for Tinubu’s policies and achievements among the populace.

Senator Uche Lilian Ekwunife, the APC candidate for the Anambra Central Senatorial District, urged party members and Nigerians to show their support for Tinubu's administration through their votes. She expressed confidence that a united front within the party would lead to substantial electoral success in 2027, reinforcing the notion that Tinubu's government has positively impacted the South-East through its people-oriented infrastructure initiatives.
