Nigerian Army detains three alleged logistics suppliers linked to terrorism in Borno
The Nigerian Army has apprehended three individuals suspected of aiding terrorist activities in Borno State.

In a significant operation, the Nigerian Army has arrested three individuals believed to be involved in supplying logistics to terrorist groups in the North-East. The arrests took place on November 2, 2026, at Damboa Market in the Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.
The operation was carried out by troops from the 25 Military Intelligence Regiment, 25 Brigade, under Sector 2, with assistance from the Provost Company. Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, shared details of the arrests via his social media platform, highlighting the ongoing efforts of the military to dismantle terrorist supply networks in the region.
The suspects have been identified as Tela Alhamdu, aged 67, Alhaji Kolo Kauji, 50, and Bulama Alabe, also 50. All three men are reported to be residents of Kauji Village, which is situated within the Damboa Local Government Area. Their apprehension follows intelligence reports that indicated their involvement in logistics operations supporting terrorist activities.
During the operation, the military recovered several items that are believed to be linked to the suspects' activities. These include three Volkswagen Golf vehicles, 38 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), four mobile phones, and cash amounting to N99,300. The suspects, along with the recovered items, have been placed in military custody for further investigation.
This operation is part of a broader strategy by Nigerian security forces to combat terrorism and ensure stability in the North-East, which has been plagued by insurgency for over a decade. The military continues to intensify its efforts to disrupt the logistics and supply chains that sustain terrorist operations in the region, aiming to restore peace and security for the local populations.
