Philanthropist Ibraheem Luqman offers housing and scholarships to Toluwanisings' family
Ibraheem Luqman pledges support to the family of late gospel artist Toluwanisings, providing housing for his father and education for his daughters.

In a heartwarming gesture, Ibraheem Luqman, an Ikirun-born philanthropist and senatorial candidate for Osun Central under the All Peoples Movement, has stepped in to support the family of the late gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings. Following public outcry over the living conditions of Toluwanisings' father, Muniru Adekunle Olayemi, Luqman has committed to providing both housing and educational scholarships for the singer's two daughters.
The initiative comes in the wake of distressing images and videos that surfaced on social media, revealing the challenging circumstances faced by Olayemi. Responding to these concerns, Luqman announced that he had dispatched a team to Ikirun to personally meet with the elderly man and outline his support plans. In a statement from his campaign organization, Luqman expressed his intention to relocate Olayemi to a more suitable accommodation within Ikirun, ensuring he can live in comfort and dignity.
Additionally, Luqman has pledged to sponsor the education of Toluwanisings' daughters, aiming to secure their future despite the tragic loss of their father. The campaign organization emphasized that this humanitarian effort reflects Luqman's commitment to uplifting vulnerable members of society, highlighting the importance of community responsibility in public service.
In a video shared online, a member of Luqman’s delegation explained the purpose of their visit to Olayemi, assuring him that the support was aimed at improving his living conditions and facilitating his grandchildren's education. The delegate stated, "Luqman asked us to visit you for two reasons. Firstly, he is concerned about your housing condition. He said we should find a comfortable place for you to live for at least two years, where you can have peace of mind. He also said he wants to sponsor your grandchildren’s education up to the higher institution level, so he would like to have your permission."
This initiative comes on the heels of the tragic passing of Toluwanisings on October 14, 2026, in Ibadan, Oyo State. Reports indicate that he collapsed and died after struggling to receive medical attention, with his personal assistant alleging that multiple hospital visits were necessary before he passed away. The exact cause of his death remains unconfirmed, and the situation has drawn considerable public concern.
The aftermath of Toluwanisings' death has also been marred by family disputes regarding his burial arrangements. His father has expressed a desire for his son to be buried at a house he built in Ibadan or beside his late mother in Ikirun. In contrast, the widow, Akanbi Elizabeth, has preferred a burial in a cemetery or church ground, citing discomfort with the idea of living in a house where her husband is buried. This disagreement has further complicated the grieving process for the family, delaying burial plans and prompting public debate over the differing preferences.
As the family navigates these challenges, Luqman's support offers a glimmer of hope, addressing immediate needs while also focusing on the long-term welfare of Toluwanisings' children. The community's response to this tragic event underscores the importance of solidarity and support in times of loss, as many rally around the family during this difficult period.
