A Kano State High Court has ordered the remand of three individuals in connection with the alleged kidnapping and murder of a young boy, Aliyu Haidar. The defendants, identified as Hajara Sani, Hayatullah Armayau, and Jibin Ado, face serious charges including criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, and culpable homicide.

During the court proceedings, the prosecution team, led by Barrister Lamido Abba Soran Dinki and Barrister Iliyasu Ibrahim, presented the case against the trio. All three defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges after they were read to them in court.

The prosecution alleges that Hajara Sani, who was employed in the victim's family home, played a pivotal role in the abduction. It is claimed that she kidnapped Aliyu Haidar and subsequently took him to Hayatullah and Jibin, who were allegedly involved in a conspiracy to demand a ransom of N2 million. Tragically, when the ransom was not paid, the defendants are accused of killing the boy.

The incident reportedly took place in Gobirawa village, located in the Rano Local Government Area of Kano State. Following the arraignment, the court has scheduled the next hearing for December 4, 2026, where witness testimonies are expected to commence.

This case has drawn significant attention, highlighting ongoing concerns about kidnapping and violence in the region. Authorities are under pressure to address such crimes and ensure justice for victims and their families.
