The family of Abdulrahman Auwal, a Mobile Police officers, who was k!lled in Plateau State, is demanding justice.
LIB reported that the deceased was k!lled around Kwi-Beco Road, a community between Barkin Ladi and Riyom Local Government Areas of the state while he was returning from a community on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
The family said many questions surrounding his d3ath remain unanswered and require further explanation.
He was buried at the Zaria Cemetery in Jos on Saturday, October 10.
Reacting to the development, Larai Musa, mother of the deceased, told Daily Trust on Sunday that while she believes her son's time had come, she has submitted to the will of Allah, she is calling on the Inspector General of Police to investigate the circumstances surrounding his d3ath.
"There are still unanswered questions surrounding the d3ath of my son. He was reported to have been macheted with a sharp object while on a motorcycle with an okada rider. My son was k!lled and the okada rider is alive," she said.
"The question we are asking is, who reported the k!lling of Abdulrahman? It was reported that he was macheted. Where is the okada rider who took him to the village to get foodstuffs? We learnt that they were stopped and he was k!lled.
"The okada rider who reported the d3ath should be able to explain where he took him to and who stopped them and attacked only the passenger. We believe in d3ath, but we are calling on the police authorities to explain how our son was k!lled," she said.
The family also expressed disappointment that four days after the incident, no police officers or colleagues of the deceased had visited to condole with them, despite his service to the nation.
It was also gathered that no official statement was issued yet regarding the d3ath of the officer.
