Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are encountering resistance from their neighbors regarding plans to erect a privacy fence at their lakeside residence in the Cleveland area. The proposed six-foot black, powder-coated aluminum fence, along with extensive tree planting, has sparked discussions about potential impacts on local infrastructure and wildlife.

During a recent Architectural Review Board meeting, details emerged about the fence's placement, which is intended to be set two feet inside the property line to avoid interfering with existing sewer lines. However, some residents are worried that the proposed trees may not be adequately distanced from these aging sewer infrastructures. Neighbor Katherine Bolton voiced her concerns, emphasizing the uncertainty surrounding the property’s future ownership. "This applicant may decide to sell her house next year, move on and buy another house," she stated, highlighting the transient nature of property ownership.

Additionally, residents raised alarms about the local deer population, with fears that wildlife could become entangled in the fence. These concerns reflect a broader apprehension about how the fence might affect the neighborhood's natural ecosystem.

Despite these objections, the Bratenahl board has approved the construction of the fence after considering the residents' input. The approval comes as Swift and Kelce, who tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in July, continue to settle into their new life together.
