A tragic incident in the Bronx has led to the arrest of 31-year-old Angel Carrasco, who is accused of throwing his girlfriend, Nathaly Ramirez, and their eight-month-old daughter from a 15-story balcony. The event occurred early on October 6 at 2550 Olinville Avenue, and it has left the community in shock and mourning.

Nathaly Ramirez, 23, tragically died from the fall, while her baby girl, Angel Novalty Carrasco-Ramirez, miraculously survived and is currently receiving treatment at Jacobi Hospital. Eyewitnesses reported hearing a male voice shouting before the fall, followed by the sound of a significant impact and a woman pleading for help.

Carrasco was apprehended by US Marshals and New York City police on the evening of October 7. As he was led out of the police station in shackles, he reportedly smiled at onlookers, prompting shouts of "Coward! Coward!" from the crowd. One bystander expressed their outrage, stating, "I hope they f***ing k!ll your ass in jail."

According to law enforcement sources, Carrasco had previously attempted to reconcile with Ramirez by bringing flowers to her apartment, despite having a history of domestic violence incidents involving her. He had been arrested twice earlier this year for domestic violence, including an incident where he allegedly broke into her home after being accused of hitting her.

The community has reacted with anger and disbelief at the events that unfolded. Local residents described the moments leading up to the fall, with one neighbor recalling how they heard a man shout before the tragic thud. Another witness expressed their distress over the situation, saying, "Right now, I feel like s**t, I'm upset. Right now, I'm happy they caught him."

Ramirez was remembered as a hardworking individual who graduated from Bronx Leadership Academy High School and attended Baruch College, where she was seen as a rising star in her field. She was employed at Lishawn Consulting in Manhattan.

Carrasco is expected to be arraigned in Bronx Criminal Court later today, October 8, facing serious charges that could lead to significant legal repercussions. The case has drawn widespread attention, highlighting ongoing concerns about domestic violence and its devastating effects on families and communities.
