The Kogi State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of an individual in connection with the death of 90-year-old Mrs. Juliana Joel in Ogori, located in the Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area. The incident, which has raised concerns in the community, reportedly took place on Tuesday.

Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Afusat Oiyza Salihu, provided confirmation of the arrest, stating, "I can only confirm that a suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Lokoja, for further investigation regarding a case that concerns the death of a 90-year-old woman, Mrs. Juliana Joel, in Ogori." Salihu emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and that more information regarding the circumstances of the woman's death will be disclosed once the inquiry is complete.
As of now, the police have not revealed the identity of the suspect nor the motive behind the incident.
