A teenager has been arrested in Jos North for allegedly attacking a man with a firearm.

In a shocking incident in Plateau State, a 17-year-old girl has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a man with a firearm. The event unfolded on the evening of October 5, 2026, in the Baduo Community of Jos North Local Government Area.
According to security sources, troops from Sector 1 of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) responded to reports of an assault at approximately 9:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered that the suspect, identified as Miss Aliyah Suleiman, had attacked Mr. Nanle James with a pistol, striking him on the forehead and causing significant injuries.
Following the assault, Mr. James was quickly transported to COCIN Hospital located in Busa Buji for immediate medical care. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later referred to Plateau State Hospital for further treatment.
Miss Suleiman remains in custody as investigations continue. Authorities have indicated that she will be handed over to the appropriate legal entities for further action regarding the incident.
