Lagos State University (LASU) has officially addressed and dismissed allegations suggesting that members of its 2025 Law graduating class were unfairly excluded from the mobilisation process for the Nigerian Law School. The university's management released a statement on Monday, asserting that all Law graduates who had fulfilled the necessary requirements for mobilisation had indeed been processed.

The clarification comes in response to complaints from some students of the 2025 Law set, who claimed that at least 16 students from the August 2026 graduating class were mobilised ahead of their seniors. Reports indicated that these aggrieved graduates alleged that the names of several members from the 2025 class were removed from the mobilisation list to accommodate the newer graduates, with claims that about 20 eligible students were affected.

In its response, LASU emphasized that its records do not support these allegations. The university maintained that all eligible graduates had been mobilised correctly and that the necessary documentation had already been submitted to the Nigerian Law School. The statement highlighted that both the Faculty of Law and the University Registry confirmed the completion of the mobilisation process for all qualified graduates.

LASU stated, “The attention of the University Management has been drawn to an allegation concerning the non-mobilisation of some Law graduates to the Nigerian Law School. The University wishes to clarify that records available at the Faculty of Law show that all students who have graduated and are eligible for mobilisation have been duly mobilised.”

Furthermore, the university reassured students that the University Registrar had forwarded the list of mobilised graduates to the Nigerian Law School, reinforcing the integrity of the process.

In light of the concerns raised, LASU encouraged any graduates who remain uncertain about their mobilisation status to visit the Office of the Registrar for verification and further information. The university reiterated its commitment to ensuring that qualified graduates are not unduly delayed in progressing to the next phase of their professional training.
