President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to Nigerian filmmakers Damilola Osikoya and Nora Awolowo for achieving a Guinness World Record for the largest attendance at a film screening. The record was set during the screening of the film Black Market in Lagos on September 26, 2026.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu lauded the filmmakers for their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. He emphasized that their achievement is a testament to the immense talent present within Nigeria’s creative industry, which he noted plays a significant role in job creation and the expansion of business opportunities for local talents.
