The family of a teenager, Imole Ilesanmi, is in distress after she went missing in the Agbado area of Ogun State. Imole was last seen on September 20, 2026, around 3 PM after leaving her home, reportedly to visit a cleric in the Popóshóla area.

Imole's father recounted that she was at home when he asked her to prepare food for him. After cooking, she expressed her intention to visit the cleric, known locally as Alfa. "Since then, we have not heard from her," he stated, adding that attempts to reach her via phone were unsuccessful after the first night.

The family reported her disappearance to the Agbado Police Station, where they learned that the cleric had been briefly detained but later released. The father expressed concern regarding the cleric's release, believing he might hold crucial information about Imole's whereabouts. Despite the cleric's insistence that he did not see Imole that day, he acknowledged that she had mentioned going to Popóshóla rather than directly to his residence.

Eyewitness accounts from neighbors indicated that Imole was seen walking restlessly in the area before she vanished. Her sister, Ayomide Ilesanmi, shared that the family has been overwhelmed by uncertainty and rumors since they began circulating her photograph online. "We keep receiving different information and we don’t know which one to believe," she lamented, as they have also visited local churches and mosques to pray for her safe return.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Babaseyi Oluseyi, has not yet commented on the situation. However, a senior police officer confirmed the case but declined to provide further details, citing the ongoing investigation. As the search continues, the family remains hopeful for Imole's safe return, urging anyone with information to come forward.
