Nigerian dancer and entertainer, Poco Lee, has addressed the public for the first time since being released on bail in the United Kingdom, asserting his innocence regarding the allegations against him. In a video call with social commentator VeryDarkMan, which circulated on social media, Poco Lee shared his thoughts about the situation, emphasizing his mental strength throughout the ordeal.

During the call, Poco Lee expressed that his primary worry during his time away was the impact of his absence on his associates and their business operations. He stated, "I was just being myself. God sees my heart. My only worries were about my people. Jago could not do anything business, and I didn’t want to stress anyone."

Poco Lee’s remarks highlighted his belief in his innocence, saying, "If I was inside there and I did what I was accused of, I would have felt I was paying for my sins, but since I knew I didn’t do what I was accused of, my mind is pure." He also acknowledged the support he received from fellow artists, particularly Burna Boy and Rahman Jago, during this challenging time.

The allegations against Poco Lee stem from his visit to the UK in August, where he attended the Davido and Friends concert at the Crystal Palace Bowl on August 14. Although he has not been convicted of any crime, the case remains under judicial consideration, with a plea and trial preparation scheduled for September 15 at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

In the video shared by VeryDarkMan, he also commented on the situation, defending Poco Lee and praising the support from his friends. He remarked, "I just got off a video call with @rahman_jago_ and @poco_lee. I guess the next narrative will be this is AI. THERE IS A REASON WHY I BRAG WITH INTEGRITY, I AM NOBODY’S mate, WHEN I talk take it to the bank."
