Kira Taiwo, the daughter of the late Nollywood icon Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo, has shared a heartfelt tribute following her father's death on August 23. The veteran actor, who was 66, succumbed to stage-four cancer, leaving behind a legacy cherished by many in the film industry and his family.

In a poignant post on Instagram, Kira opened up about her profound grief, stating how difficult it has been to cope with the loss of her father. She expressed her feelings of heartbreak, reflecting on the void left by his absence. "My daddy. THE BEST. I can’t even get a hug anymore… This is what heartbreak means, mehn," she wrote, capturing the emotional turmoil she is experiencing.

Kira also conveyed her deep sadness over the fact that her father would not meet her second child, a moment she had longed for. She lamented, "I love you, Daddy, but I just wanted more time, more time, more timeeee to meet my second baby. Thank you ooo TAIYE," highlighting her wish for more moments with him.

The touching tribute follows a message exchange between Kira and her father shortly before his passing. In their conversation dated July 26, Ogogo encouraged her to stay strong and avoid tears, showing his concern for her well-being even in his final days. He reassured her, saying, "How are you? I heard you are crying. Seeing you and your sisters smile is making me strong. If you cry, it will make me sad, and I will start to think. Be strong. I am strong… don’t cry, my princess."

The loss of Ogogo has sent ripples of sorrow through the Nigerian entertainment community, where he was celebrated for his contributions to film and television. His passing marks a significant loss for his family and fans alike, as they remember a man who was not only a talented actor but also a loving father.

As Kira continues to navigate her grief, she remains a testament to the enduring bond between a father and daughter, one that transcends even the finality of death.
