Activist Aisha Yesufu has come to the defense of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), amid criticism from some Nigerians regarding the involvement of content creators in showcasing his campaign activities. Yesufu expressed her support for the creators who are documenting Obi's efforts as he travels across the country in his bid for the presidency.

In a post on X, Yesufu highlighted the importance of these content creators, stating, "May God bless all the ‘content creators’ putting in the work and travelling with our principal, Mr. Peter Obi, @PeterObi, the incoming President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Insha Allah), to document and show all the workings he does!" She emphasized that the visibility of Obi's achievements during his campaign is crucial, contrasting it with his previous tenure as the governor of Anambra State, where he did not promote his accomplishments as actively.

Yesufu noted that the criticism stems from a desire among some individuals for Obi to remain understated, similar to his approach in Anambra. She remarked, "Many are angered that they cannot say it is AI. They want it to be like what he did in Anambra, where he was silent and didn’t showcase the work he was doing."

The activist encouraged those who are displeased with Obi's current strategy to take action themselves, suggesting that they should support their own candidates in a similar manner. "If e pain una, make una carry una candidate waka round and use camera take document," she stated, urging critics to engage more actively in the political process.
