Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has reiterated his commitment to seeking divine guidance in steering the state towards peace and economic prosperity. Speaking at the August edition of the Evening of Praise held at the Government House Grounds in Ado Ekiti, Oyebanji emphasized that his leadership vision is deeply rooted in the principles of honesty and transparency.

Represented by his deputy, Mrs. Monisade Afuye, the governor shared his administration's aspirations, which began in 2022, to transform Ekiti into a prosperous land through a comprehensive six-point agenda. He expressed gratitude for the progress made thus far, attributing the achievements to divine direction and support.

"The Evening of Praise was not just conceptualized as a gathering for funfair, but to seek divine direction that can save the people from economic doldrums, poverty and lift Ekiti to the pedestal of prosperity and greatness I had dreamt for the state," Oyebanji stated. He underscored the importance of combining human effort with spiritual guidance to realize the state's potential.

The governor noted that the program has been yielding positive results, contributing to the state’s economic improvement and enhancing peace among the populace. He commended his cabinet members for aligning with the vision of prioritizing God in leadership decisions.

Oyebanji encouraged citizens of Ado Ekiti and surrounding areas to participate in future editions of the Evening of Praise, reinforcing his belief that sustained efforts, coupled with faith in God, are crucial for achieving greatness. "We put in our little efforts and we are achieving greatness because God is on our side and he knows that we accord Him the respect that He deserves," he added.

The event was attended by various dignitaries, including commissioners, special advisers, and clerics, reflecting a collective commitment to the state's development under Oyebanji's leadership. The governor pledged to work tirelessly to ensure that Ekiti becomes even more peaceful and economically vibrant, highlighting the importance of partnerships with like-minded individuals to realize this vision.
