In response to a recent mass abduction in Niger State, President Bola Tinubu has ordered a coordinated rescue operation involving the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force, and the Department of State Services. The directive comes after terrorists launched a brutal attack, abducting numerous innocent citizens, which Tinubu condemned as a cowardly act against humanity.

The incident, which has sparked outrage across the nation, prompted the president to issue a statement emphasizing the need for immediate action. He described the attackers as "enemies of peace" and vowed that they would not escape justice. "Those who carried out this cowardly attack on defenceless Nigerians are enemies of peace and enemies of humanity, who will not go scot-free," he stated.

In his commitment to ensuring the safe return of the abducted individuals, Tinubu has instructed the Service Chiefs to provide him with regular updates on the progress of the rescue operations. He expressed deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives during the attack and reassured the families of the abducted that the federal government would not rest until every victim is accounted for.

"You are not alone. The entire nation shares your anguish. We will not rest until your sons, daughters, mothers and fathers are brought back safely to you," he affirmed.

The president also extended the federal government's full support to Niger State, pledging assistance for recovery efforts, relief, and enhanced security measures in the affected communities. "Terror will not cow Nigeria. We will defend our people, protect our communities, and uphold the sanctity of human life," he added, offering prayers for the victims and residents during this challenging time.
