Senator Abdul’Aziz Yari, the former governor of Zamfara State and current Director General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Organization, has expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's ability to secure a second term in the upcoming 2027 elections. Yari made this assertion during a recent event at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, where he was welcomed back by enthusiastic party supporters.

In his remarks, Yari emphasized that Tinubu’s performance over the last three years has laid a solid foundation for his re-election. He stated, "Today, we have seen him as president today, and by God’s grace, he shall be the president come 2027." This statement underscores the belief within the APC that the President's governance has resonated positively with the electorate.

Yari further assured Nigerians that the APC remains committed to fulfilling its campaign promises, stating, "Whatever promise we made during the campaign, we shall keep to our promises." He reiterated the party's dedication to transparency and accountability, which he believes will foster continued public support.

The Senator also expressed aspirations for the APC’s future, declaring that the party would not only secure victory in 2027 but would also lead Nigeria beyond that election cycle. He remarked, "We pray that our party will continue to be the party to lead the country after President Tinubu’s second term."

In a recent announcement, the Presidency confirmed Yari's appointment as the Director General of Tinubu’s campaign for the next general elections, while Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma was appointed as Secretary of the Council.
