The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has confidently asserted that it will emerge victorious against the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections, even if the ruling party appoints billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk as its campaign director general. This declaration was made by Theo Abu Agada, the NDC's Director of New Media and Strategic Communications, who criticized the APC's newly formed campaign council.

Agada took to social media platform X to express his views, emphasizing that financial backing alone does not guarantee electoral success. He stated that the true power lies with the Nigerian electorate, who will ultimately decide the outcome of the forthcoming elections. The NDC leader pointed out that the APC-led government has significantly contributed to the economic hardships faced by many Nigerians, claiming that approximately 140 million citizens have been pushed into poverty since the APC took office.

In his post, Agada remarked, "I am not the least bit moved or worried by the composition of the APC Presidential Campaign Council. If the party likes, let it name Elon Musk as their DG and all the moneybags in the country as their members, we will still beat them silly in 2027." He further highlighted the plight of ordinary Nigerians, stating, "The ordinary people whose take-home cannot even take them home are the ones who will make a bold statement in 2027."

The NDC's strong stance comes in light of the APC's recent campaign strategies, which have been perceived as relying heavily on influential figures and financial resources. Agada's comments reflect a broader sentiment among opposition parties that the current administration's policies have failed to address the needs of the populace, leading to widespread dissatisfaction.

As the 2027 elections approach, the political landscape in Nigeria is heating up, with parties gearing up for what promises to be a fiercely contested race. The NDC's commitment to challenging the APC underscores the growing urgency among opposition groups to unite and present a formidable challenge to the ruling party's dominance in Nigerian politics.
