The results were officially announced on Sunday by Patrick Enyi, the Chairman of the Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission (EBSIEC), during a press briefing held at the commission’s office in Abakaliki.

Among the notable winners is Osborn Umahi, the son of the Minister of Works, David Umahi, who has been elected as the chairman of Ohaozara Local Government Area. Other successful candidates for the chairmanship include Peace Agwu for Ishielu, Paul Ituma for Ohaukwu, Friday Nwuhuo for Ezza North, Chinedu Mkpuma for Ezza South, Chidi Nwode for Ikwo, Timothy Nwachi for Afikpo, Ikechukwu Ogbofia for Onicha, Michael Kalu Anyim for Ivo, Simeon Onuoha for Edda, Helen Aduga for Izzi, Chidiebere Alo for Abakaliki, and Chibueze Odigwe for Ebonyi Local Government Area.

Enyi praised the conduct of the elections, describing them as peaceful, free, and fair. He acknowledged the participation of various political parties and commended the voters for their active involvement in the electoral process. The support of security agencies was also highlighted as a crucial factor in ensuring a smooth election.

In his remarks following the announcement of the results, Osborn Umahi expressed gratitude to EBSIEC for the transparent management of the elections. He outlined his commitment to focusing on rural development, youth empowerment, and agricultural transformation during his tenure.

The APC Chairman in Ebonyi State, Stanley Okoro Emegha, hailed the party's clean sweep as a testament to its stronghold in the region. He noted that the results reflect an increasing acceptance of the APC among the electorate in Ebonyi, and he expressed optimism about the party's prospects in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Emegha's comments underline the APC's strategy of consolidating its influence and preparing for future electoral challenges in the state.
