APC leader calls for unity among members after Osun governorship election
Olatunbosun Oyintiloye encourages APC members to strengthen grassroots ties following recent election.

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has called on party members to maintain unity and focus after the recent governorship election results. Speaking to journalists in Osogbo on Monday, Oyintiloye emphasized that the election outcome should not be seen solely as a win or loss, but as a chance for the party to consolidate its presence and improve its organizational structures throughout the state.
He urged the APC to engage more deeply with the grassroots and identify areas that need enhancement in preparation for future elections. "Our responsibility now is to learn from the outcome, remain united and prepare for the future," he stated, underscoring the importance of internal cohesion and grassroots mobilization.
Oyintiloye praised President Bola Tinubu for his support before and during the election, which he described as a significant demonstration of leadership and dedication to the party's growth in Osun. He noted that Tinubu's actions had renewed confidence among APC members and boosted the morale of the party's various organs across the state.
The former lawmaker highlighted that despite being the opposition in Osun, the APC garnered over 444,000 votes, showcasing its solid political foundation and potential for a stronger performance in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
In his remarks, Oyintiloye also acknowledged the contributions of former Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and other party leaders, including James Faleke and APC National Secretary Ajibola Basiru, for their unwavering commitment to the APC. He encouraged party members across all 30 local government areas to remain calm and dedicated, reiterating the need for unity as they prepare for future contests.
The APC chieftain's appeal comes in the wake of a challenging electoral landscape, where he believes the party must learn from its experiences to ensure a robust presence in Osun State politics moving forward.
