Michael Ugbewanko joins Forbes HR Council

Management consultant and organisational strategist, Michael Ugbewanko, has been admitted into the Forbes Human Resources Council, an invitation-only organisation for senior human resources executives, chief people officers, founders and business leaders.

Ugbewanko, who is the lead consultant at Dmidaf Global Consult, joins a global network of senior professionals in human resources and organisational management from various industries and countries.

According to a statement shared with Society Plus, members of the Forbes Human Resources Council have opportunities to contribute articles to the website, collaborate with fellow members and access professional development resources.

Speaking on the development, Ugbewanko described the admission as an opportunity to amplify African perspectives in global conversations on leadership and organisational development.

He said, “The future of business belongs to organisations that intentionally build strong systems and empower people to perform at their highest potential. I am honoured to join a global community of leaders committed to advancing excellence in human resources and organisational leadership while representing the innovation and resilience of African businesses on the global stage.”

The statement added that Ugbewanko has spent more than a decade in management consulting and organisational development, advising business leaders on organisational structure, operational processes, leadership and human capital management.

It added that in 2025, he was recognised by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of Africa’s 10 Most Influential HR Leaders. He is also the author of HR Is Dead, a book that explores the changing role of human resources in driving organisational performance.

Beyond consulting, he convenes the Operational Excellence Conclave, a leadership platform for business executives and public sector leaders, and leads The Presidential Table, an executive advisory forum for chief executives.

Ugbewanko holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of South Wales, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Ibadan. He is a Chartered Management Consultant, a Fellow of Corporate Governance and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, United Kingdom.
