Court mandates Kevin Gates to provide significant financial support to ex-wife Dreka Gates
Court documents reveal Kevin Gates must allocate funds from his music catalogue sale to Dreka Gates.

Rapper Kevin Gates has been mandated by a court to share a portion of the proceeds from the sale of his music catalogue with his estranged wife, Dreka Gates. This decision comes amid ongoing divorce proceedings between the couple, with the court documents detailing the financial arrangements necessary for child and spousal support.
According to reports from TMZ, the court has ordered that all proceeds from the sale be deposited into a Morgan Stanley account. This account will be managed by Robert Bracy, Chief Financial Officer of Bread Winner Alumni, alongside certified public accountant William Duerksen. From the funds in this account, a total of $929,341.50 will be allocated to Dreka for both child and spousal support.
In addition to the support payments, Dreka is set to receive a separate payment of $150,000. Kevin Gates will initially receive $538,798 from the sale, followed by monthly payments of $225,000, which will commence in October.
The court's ruling also includes provisions for Dreka's legal expenses, allocating $125,000 for her lawyers, $100,000 for her accountant, and $103,000 for a third-party mediation service. These financial decisions reflect the contentious nature of the couple's divorce, which has been marked by public disputes.
Previously, Kevin Gates made allegations on social media, claiming that Dreka had taken money from him during their marriage. However, her attorney has dismissed these claims as "completely false and fabricated." The couple's financial disagreements have intensified, especially after Dreka accused Kevin of ceasing financial support for her and their children since 2021.
As the divorce proceedings continue, the court's decision aims to ensure that both parties are supported financially, particularly in light of their children's needs. The allocation of these funds marks a significant step in resolving the financial aspects of their separation, though tensions remain high between the former couple.
