In a heartfelt gesture, the Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, presented a hand-drawn portrait of President Bola Tinubu alongside a depiction of his late mother. The presentation took place during a courtesy visit at the President's residence in Lagos following his return from an official trip and the national premiere of the documentary on MKO Abiola.

Musawa shared the news on her social media platform X, expressing that the portrait was not just a hobby but held significant emotional value. She explained that the inspiration for the artwork stemmed from the profound role a mother plays in a child's life and the personal connection she felt due to the support Tinubu offered her after the passing of her own mother.

“I draw as a hobby, but this particular piece was deeply personal to me. It was inspired by the special place a mother holds in the life of a child and, more personally, by the support Mr. President showed me during the difficult period following the loss of my own mother,” Musawa stated.

During the visit, Musawa took the opportunity to express her gratitude towards Tinubu for his ongoing support and kindness. She emphasized the importance of such gestures in fostering a supportive environment in leadership.

“I am deeply grateful to Mr. President for his continued support and kindness towards me,” she added, wishing for divine guidance and strength for Tinubu as he leads the nation.

This exchange not only highlights the personal connections between leaders and their aides but also underscores the role of art in expressing gratitude and emotions in the political sphere. Musawa's artistic endeavor serves as a reminder of the human side of governance, where personal experiences and relationships shape the dynamics of leadership.
