MRS filling stations, supported by Dangote Refinery, have announced a reduction in petrol prices at their outlets in Abuja. The new price is set at N1,370 per litre, down from the previous price of N1,395 per litre, marking a decrease of N25 per litre.

This price adjustment was confirmed through a market survey conducted by DailyPost on Monday, revealing that the new rates are applicable at MRS stations located in Katampe and along the Lugbe Expressway. This move comes closely after Dangote Refinery recently lowered its gantry petrol price from N1,350 to N1,325 per litre.

The current petrol prices in Abuja now range from N1,370 to N1,450 per litre, with the reduction by MRS filling stations potentially indicating a trend that could influence other fuel providers in the region. Observers suggest that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), which sources petrol from Dangote Refinery, may also consider adjusting their prices in response to the market changes.
