In a bid to clarify the situation, Igwe took to his Instagram page to explain that the footage was actually a scene from a movie and not an indication of his actual health status. He revealed that he was portraying the role of a sick father in a film directed by fellow veteran actor Mr. Latin. The authenticity of his performance was so compelling that it misled many viewers into believing he was genuinely unwell.

Expressing his disappointment over the negative reactions from some individuals, Igwe stated, "I have seen some people wishing me to die. For those who are genuinely concerned, please relax. There is no problem. I was only acting my role, as you all know, I am a versatile actor." He emphasized that he remains in good health and reassured fans that there is no cause for alarm.

The actor further elaborated on the viral clip, stating that it originated from a specific scene in the movie production. He acknowledged that while some fans understood the context of the video, others were quick to jump to conclusions about his health. "It was an Oga Latin movie we were shooting, and one of the scenes required me to play a sick father. It went viral and brought concern from the public," he noted.

Igwe also expressed gratitude towards those who reached out to check on him, contrasting their concern with the negativity from others. He firmly stated, "For those wishing me evil, evil will be their portion. I am okay and there is nothing wrong with me."
