In a brazen early morning assault, unknown gunmen targeted a military outpost along the Igbeti-Igboho road in the Oorelope Local Government Area of Oyo State on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The attack, which occurred between 5:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., involved a large number of armed men who invaded the base, leading to significant property damage.

According to a security update from the Oorelope Local Government Command, the assailants set fire to a block within the military base and a patrol vehicle before fleeing the scene.
