Akeem Bodunrin, widely recognized as Iyeru and the Chairman of the Ogun State Park Management Services (OGSPAM), has passed away at the age of 50. His death occurred on the evening of September 12, 2026, at his home in Ogun State, leaving a significant void in the state's transport sector.

Iyeru was a prominent figure in Ogun State's transportation landscape, having held various influential positions throughout his career. Before leading OGSPAM, he served as the Chairman of the Abeokuta South Local Government Area and was also the Ita Oshin unit Chairman under the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). His contributions to the transport community were widely recognized, and he played a vital role in coordinating motor park operations across the state.
