Emirates introduces world's first electric Premium Economy seat on A350
The airline unveils innovative seating with adjustable privacy screens and enhanced comfort.

Emirates has made a significant leap in air travel comfort by launching the world's first electrically powered Premium Economy seat, which features a full-height adjustable privacy screen. This groundbreaking development debuted on the airline's newly acquired Airbus A350 aircraft, promising an elevated travel experience for passengers.
The new Premium Economy cabin, configured in a spacious 2-3-2 layout with just 28 seats, focuses on providing travelers with greater control over their personal space. The electric privacy divider, a first in the Premium Economy segment globally, allows passengers to effortlessly adjust their level of privacy at the touch of a button, creating a more intimate atmosphere for relaxation, dining, or work.
In addition to the innovative privacy feature, the seats themselves are designed for comfort, measuring 20 inches in width with a generous seat pitch of up to 39 inches. The seats are equipped with an integrated Passenger Control Unit, enabling customers to customize their seating position easily.
Emirates has also enhanced passenger comfort with the introduction of the U-Dream headrest, designed by Safran Seats. This headrest, crafted from leather, offers exceptional support for the neck and head, with adjustable wings that can be tailored to individual preferences. Furthermore, a manually deployable leather footrest is included, providing additional relaxation and helping to alleviate leg fatigue during flights.
For tech-savvy travelers, the new Premium Economy seats come with wireless charging capabilities for the first time, allowing passengers to power their compatible devices conveniently throughout the flight. Each seat is also equipped with USB-C charging ports and a practical tray table that includes an integrated phone holder.
Passengers can enjoy Emirates’ award-winning ice inflight entertainment system on a 13.3-inch 4K HDR touchscreen, which offers stunning picture quality and ultra-responsive navigation. The newly delivered Airbus A350 aircraft will also feature enhanced camera views, providing passengers with new perspectives from the left and right exterior cameras, in addition to the existing forward and downward views.
This latest innovation from Emirates reflects the airline's commitment to continuously improving the customer experience and setting new standards in the aviation industry.
