The Big 5 Construct Nigeria, the nation's premier construction event, is set to take place from September 22 to 24 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos. This year's edition is expected to draw over 10,000 professionals from the construction sector, including contractors, developers, architects, and engineers, as it focuses on solutions for Nigeria's burgeoning construction industry, which is projected to reach a $54 billion output by the end of 2025.

Organised by dmg events, the event will feature more than 165 exhibitors from over 20 countries, showcasing a wide array of products and solutions that address various aspects of construction. Key areas of focus will include building interiors, concrete and cement, construction tools, personal protective equipment, digital technologies, and heavy construction equipment, among others.

The construction sector in Nigeria is on a growth trajectory, with an anticipated 3.1 percent growth in 2026 and an average annual growth rate of 3.2 percent projected between 2027 and 2030. This growth is largely supported by ongoing investments in infrastructure, housing, and industrial development. The Federal Government's initiative to establish Building Materials Manufacturing Hubs under the Renewed Hope Agenda is expected to bolster local production and supply chains, ultimately helping to reduce construction costs.

Josine Heijmans, Senior Vice President of dmg events, highlighted the significance of the exhibition in connecting local construction companies with international suppliers and industry leaders. Heijmans stated, "Nigeria’s construction sector is witnessing an important period of growth, with continued investment creating demand for new products, expertise and capabilities across the value chain. Big 5 Construct Nigeria provides an opportunity to connect the companies and authorities driving this growth with an international network of suppliers and industry leaders."

The event will also include the Big 5 Talks, featuring over 25 Continuing Professional Development-certified sessions that will address critical topics in architecture, design, project management, and sustainable building practices. Notable speakers include Bldr Adetunji Adeniran, who will discuss advanced project delivery strategies, and Arc. Emmanuel Falude, who will present on the business case for green buildings.

Exhibitors at the event will include prominent brands such as Saint-Gobain, Sika, Bosch, and Asian Paints, representing countries like Germany, India, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates. This diverse participation underscores the event's role as a vital platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration within the construction industry.

As Nigeria's construction sector continues to evolve, events like Big 5 Construct Nigeria play a crucial role in fostering innovation and facilitating partnerships that can drive the industry forward, aligning with the nation's broader development goals.
