Modibbo Adama University in Yola has indefinitely suspended all activities of the Northern Nigeria Students Forum, commonly known as GAMJI Students. This decision was announced by the university's Student Affairs Office, which highlighted concerns over increasing rivalry among students vying for leadership positions within the forum.

In an official circular signed by Aminu Musa, the Student Affairs Officer, the university management emphasized that the ongoing competition for leadership roles had escalated to a level that could threaten the peace and harmony on campus. The circular stated, "All activities of GAMJI in the university are hereby suspended indefinitely," and urged students to respect this directive.
