The Czech Republic's embassy in Nigeria has issued a statement clarifying that Nigerian students will not be eligible for the Czech Government Scholarship programme for the 2027/2028 academic year. This announcement comes in response to misleading information circulating online that suggested otherwise.

In a statement released on Monday, the embassy emphasized that Nigeria is not included in the list of countries eligible for the scholarship. The embassy's clarification aims to dispel any confusion caused by unofficial sources claiming that Nigerian applicants could apply for the scholarship.

The embassy stated, "For the 2027/2028 academic year, Nigeria is not among the countries eligible for the Czech Government Scholarship programme." They urged students to disregard any information from unofficial websites that inaccurately lists Nigeria as an eligible country.
