The Supreme Council for Shari'ah in Nigeria (SCSN) has expressed serious concerns regarding the ongoing detention of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. In a statement released recently, the Council urged authorities to adhere to due process, warning that any arbitrary actions could harm public trust in Nigerian institutions.

El-Rufai is currently facing multiple legal challenges, including charges from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Department of State Services (DSS).
