Louis Saha urges Manchester United to sign Victor Osimhen before transfer deadline
Former striker Louis Saha believes Victor Osimhen is eager to join Manchester United, urging the club to act quickly.

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has called on the club to secure the signing of Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen before the summer transfer window closes on September 1. Saha emphasized that Osimhen, currently with Galatasaray, is a lifelong fan of Manchester United and is genuinely keen on making the move to Old Trafford.
Saha, who played for United from 2004 to 2008, expressed his confidence in Osimhen's desire to join the club during an interview with MrGamble. He stated, "I know for a fact that Victor Osimhen is a Manchester United fan. He loves Man United. I have seen it in his eyes, the impact the club has on him, and he sees the impact he could have on this team."
Despite interest from Premier League rivals such as Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, Saha believes that Osimhen would choose Manchester United over any other suitor if given the opportunity. He compared Osimhen's potential impact to that of Bruno Fernandes, suggesting that the striker would quickly adapt to the club's culture and style of play.
Saha also reflected on Manchester United's past transfer mistakes, particularly the missed opportunity to sign Harry Kane, which he described as one of the club's most costly errors. He sees Osimhen as a chance to rectify that mistake, arguing, "I think Osimhen is a better fit for United now than Kane because of Benjamin Sesko. Osimhen can teach Sesko about movement and being a striker but they could also play together and combine better than Kane and Sesko could."
Osimhen has made a significant impact in the Turkish Super Lig this season, scoring five goals in just three appearances, making him the league's top scorer early in the campaign. His impressive form continues to keep him in the spotlight, especially after a successful stint in Italy with Napoli, where he won the Scudetto and the Serie A Golden Boot.
As the transfer deadline approaches, Manchester United is in a strong position following a recent 5-2 victory over Ipswich Town, inspired by Bruno Fernandes. The club has already made several signings this summer, including Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, and Carlos Baleba, but the addition of a new forward remains a priority.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently commented on Osimhen's future, indicating that while there is interest from other clubs, Osimhen is integral to Galatasaray's plans and is content with his role. This adds another layer of complexity to Manchester United's pursuit as they look to bolster their attacking options before the window closes.
