Senator David Mark, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has urged political leaders in Nigeria to foster a peaceful environment leading up to the 2027 general elections. His appeal came during the Eid-ul-Maulud celebration, a significant occasion marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

He further noted that Nigeria's diversity is its greatest asset and called for inclusive governance that ensures equity and justice for all citizens, regardless of their religion, ethnicity, or background. Mark reiterated the ADC's commitment to building a Nigeria where every individual has equal opportunities to succeed, reflecting the vision of the country's founding fathers.
