Guinness Nigeria Plc has reported a remarkable financial performance for the first half of 2026, achieving a revenue of approximately N265 billion and a profit after tax (PAT) increase of 53%, reaching N25.3 billion. This announcement was made during the company's recent Investors and Analysts Call, where key executives outlined the strategic direction and financial health of the business.
The Managing Director and CEO, Girish Sharma, along with Finance and Strategy Director, Mayank Kabra, and Corporate Relations and Legal Director, Rotimi Odusola, provided insights into the company’s robust growth trajectory. They emphasized that the impressive results are a testament to Guinness Nigeria's commitment to operational efficiency and quality growth.
One of the standout achievements highlighted during the call was the company’s significant progress in deleveraging its balance sheet. Shareholders' equity surged from N43.3 billion to N64.2 billion, while net debt was reduced from approximately N37 billion to about N19 billion. This improvement reflects the company's strategic focus on building a more resilient financial foundation.
Sharma expressed optimism about the future, stating, "We have made significant progress in strengthening our financial position while continuing to invest in the growth of the business. The days of operating with a weak balance sheet are behind us. Today, we are in a much stronger position to pursue growth, improve returns and create sustainable value for our shareholders and other stakeholders."
