In a dramatic week marked by political tensions and personal disputes, Afrobeats superstar Davido found himself embroiled in a series of online confrontations with prominent figures, all while staunchly supporting his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, during the Osun state governorship election.

Davido's vocal support for Adeleke, who emerged victorious in the election, led him to confront several high-profile personalities on social media. His willingness to engage publicly on political matters, especially those involving family, is notable in an entertainment industry where many prefer to remain neutral.

Among those who faced Davido's ire was former Osun governor Gboyega Oyetola. The singer took to social media to criticize Oyetola, particularly after reports of Adeleke's victory in Oyetola's hometown. In a viral tweet, Davido expressed his excitement, stating, "We dey flog Oyetola for him hometown!!! I don order case of Martell like this."

Davido also clashed with Edo state governor, Monday Okpebholo, who mocked Adeleke's celebratory dance. In a sharp rebuttal, Davido shared the governor's WAEC results online, which sparked mixed reactions from fans and observers. Despite calls for an apology, Davido remained firm, asserting he would not retract his statements.

The singer's confrontations were not limited to political figures. He also exchanged barbs with House of Representatives member Hon. James Faleke, urging him to respect the electoral process and avoid pressuring the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Faleke retorted, suggesting Davido should focus on his music instead of meddling in politics.

Activist Omoyele Sowore also entered the fray, labeling Adeleke as "brainless" and questioning his leadership capabilities. Davido responded by calling Sowore an "Arindin," a Yoruba term for someone perceived as foolish, which led to further exchanges between the two.

In a surprising twist, Davido also called out President Bola Tinubu on social media, urging him to manage his party's supporters better. However, he later deleted the tweet, leaving many speculating about his intentions.

Adding to the week's drama, Davido found himself in a heated dispute with fellow musician Wande Coal over comments made during an interview regarding an unreleased song. Wande Coal challenged Davido's expectations about the song's release, leading to a back-and-forth that showcased the tensions between the two artists.

Despite the controversies, the Adeleke family celebrated Davido's contributions to their political campaign following the election. A touching moment was captured on video, showing Adeleke's children honoring the singer with a standing ovation, highlighting the strong familial ties and support that underpin Davido's political engagement.

As the dust settles from the election, it remains to be seen how these online confrontations will impact Davido's relationships within the entertainment and political spheres.
