Demola Olarewaju, Senior Political Assistant to Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has lauded Rotimi Amaechi for his strategic approach to politics. Olarewaju emphasized that Amaechi possesses the wisdom to know when to engage in fierce political battles and when to set aside personal ambitions for the greater good of the party.

In a recent post on X, Olarewaju stated that Amaechi is a true statesman who understands the importance of prioritizing the collective agenda of the ADC, particularly the goal of unseating President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 elections. He remarked, "Rotimi Amaechi is a statesman who knows when to fight hard and when to sheathe swords; when to be selfish and when to subsume personal interest for a larger agenda of kicking Tinubu out."

Amaechi, who was chosen as Atiku's running mate after a competitive primary election, had previously expressed dissatisfaction with the process, alleging it was flawed. Despite this setback, Atiku reached out to him and another aspirant, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, encouraging them to unite in support of his presidential campaign aimed at addressing the nation's challenges.
